This place has a way of giving you some. I was just out in the hall and overheard another dad talking to a nurse. The dad is in a wheelchair (not sure the story there), they are here with their son (for cancer obviously ) and his wife just underwent some cancer surgery/treatment a few weeks ago.
Always have to be grateful for the shoes you're in. There are plenty that are more uncomfortable.
